YieldBuild offers AdSense Publishers Higher Payouts

Friday, June 4th, 2010

pdap_300_250.gifYieldBuild offer publishers a terrific adjunct to AdSense as they draw ads from top network and agency network sources (like AOL’s Advertising.com and Traffic Marketplace) and do an exceptional job at filling publishers 300×250, 160×600 and 720×90 inventory. SearchForecast works with YieldBuild to help identify and qualify relevant publishers for their unique programs.

Here are a few examples from our publishers to show what I mean:

* A gaming reviews site gets $0.38 eCPM per ad unit via AdSense. Then an additional $0.59 eCPM per ad unit via Yieldbuild’s service.
* A music site gets $0.09 eCPM per ad unit via AdSense. Then an additional $0.67 eCPM per ad unit via Yieldbuild’s service.

This is another way that we are bringing publishers a better deal and helping them make more money. We’ve known the YieldBuild team, led by Paul Edmonson, from their HubPages days - so they are practitioners who know their stuff!  Sign up today for YieldBuild.

Mobile Ad Networks benefit from AdSense for Mobile, iPhone Vs Android -

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

img_3336.jpgSitting at Googleplex last September having lunch with Kento Sugiura, Google’s AdSense Online Mobile Specialist, we discussed how 12% of Google searches per day are made from smart phones, rising to 40% on public holidays and weekends. Kento Sugiura leads the mobile partnership development and helps publishers and developers monetize their mobile Web content.

Fast forward 9 months and Google acquired AdMob and Apple acquired Quattro - $1B+ in acquisitions.

images.jpgAt SearchForecast, our AdSense Directory has tens of thousands of mobile enabled websites and we work with mobile networks such as Mojiva - who are a leading  mobile advertising platform for advertisers and publishers to buy and sell mobile ads on their mobile websites.

Top 10 Countries Visits to AdSense Directory

Monday, April 12th, 2010

The SearchForecast AdSense Directory has visitors from all over the world. In Europe, the Netherlands, Germany and France show the largest number of visitors to the AdSense Directory which is not surprising given the market share dominance of Google, particularly in Germany.

What is interesting is that  our crawler picks up AdSense Publishers in all countries - not only in English speaking AdSense websites. So if you are looking for AdSense publishers in Dusseldorf,   you can search for publishers in German keyword. An example for an adveriser looking to target German travel websites would be  flughafenflugplanabflug, departure, ankunft.

Google Maps & AdSense Calendar Added to AdSense Directory

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

The AdSense Directory now features Google Maps, the AdSense Calendar & Video Tips.

By adding Google Maps to AdSense Directory Pages, it is easier for advertisers to find where the AdSense Publisher is located. Although the publisher lives in New York, the website is focused on walking tours and shopping promenades in Paris. Basing the map on the relevant keywords the publisher uses on their website provides a more accurate location in terms of keyword relevance - which helps advertisers find new website using the AdSense Directory

The AdSense Directory helps advertisers target globally orientated publishers.

We have also added the AdSense Calendar to AdSense Directory Pages it allows AdSense Publishers to stay in touch with important dates for their online publishing business. We hope these additions to the AdSense Publisher Directory will improve the experience for both publishers and advertisers.

How the AdSense Directory Crawler Technology Works?

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

images-9.jpgA question many people are asking is how does Searchforecast collect all the websites in the AdSense Directory. Our proprietary crawler has been running for many years now and each day collects websites that are running AdSense. Each day, we migrate the data and de-duplicate the database, so the websites and keywords are always fresh.

Our engineers manually oversee the de-duplication ensuring the database integrity. Here’s a daily report we push around internally…

Web Crawler Report
1: De duplicate 49,000 URLs from new crawled data
2: Updated the existing URLs, Title, Description & Keywords.
3: Removed duplicates URLs, Publish /Tags URLs
4: Monitoring the Crawler Load & CPU

Existing Database Total: 3,340,234
Newly URLs: 47,191
Total After Merging URLs: 3,387,425

AdSense Publisher Directory grows amidst rumours of Google.cn closure

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Growing up in Australia, I understand the power of China - our Asia Pacific sleeping dragon. Slow to uptake the Internet, the dragon has breathed fire into Building 43 at Googleplex and now with the Google.cn closure almost certain, we have seen the traffic from China to our AdSense Directory increase over the past month.

Pontiflex Leverages AdSense Publishers Directory

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

The good folks at Pontiflex are hard at work educating the publishing community on how to increase revenue using the cost per lead business model. That’s where advertisers pay for a completed lead resulting from a form or part thereof being completed.

Together with SearchForecast, we are working with them to identify publishers from our AdSense Directory which are best suited to increasing revenue beyond text advertising from Google.

Keyword Tagging of AdSense Publisher Directory

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Each day thousands of visitors to our AdSense Publisher Directory look at the keywords which the publishers have used to describe their website.

Finding “like sites” by keywords which publishers have “tagged” their site with yields thousands of new keywords which provide insight into the intent of the publisher and therefore a contextual relevance that advertiser networks want to tap into.

Here’s a sample of Publisher Websites Featuring Relevant Keywords for Advertisers:
find, inexpensive, budget, affordable, america, fastest, cheapest, site, canada, usa, best, is, how, why, where, when, what, who, american, printer, cables, specialty, paper, ink, refill, kits, ink, refills, printer, inkjet, cartridges

With over 1.2 million keywords in our AdSense Directory, adnetworks, affiliates, publishers and technology providers can find the precise keyword that the publisher currently use on their website.

As the picture illustrates, if each publisher was a ping pong ball, the interconnectivity and overlap of keywords in the publisher universe is constantly moving.  Our crawler updates 50,000 websites per day to ensure greater targeting of relevant publishers. This will ensure advertisers have greater click through rates and better return on investment.
