Press Release - 26th October, 2007

SearchForecast launches in-text advertising solution

SearchForecast has today launched an in-text advertising solution capitalizing on the fast growing online advertising trend for website publishers to place advertisements on their keywords.

In-text advertising or contextual listings is a $1.5 billion component of the $12 billion search advertising market according to data from Forrester Research’s “U.S. Online Marketing Forecast” report. Advertising Age reports that contextual advertising will be a US$3.7 billion industry by 2011.

Marc Phillips, President of SearchForecast, commented that "as in-text advertising double underlines a word which displays a pop up when people mouse over the keyword, it doesn't change the website layout and works alongside other display advertising formats like Google AdSense."

SearchForecast use natural processing language software to ensure advertisements are matched to the context of the keywords on a publisher’s web page in real-time and automatically matches them to relevant ads presented as In-Text sponsored keyword links.

Richard Andrus, VP Channels at SearchForecast, says "what is interesting is the revenue of Google AdSense publishers has risen from $780m in Q3-2006 to $1,120m in Q3-2007, a 44% increase. We believe there is a consolidation to the highest-quality partners, which opens up a big opportunity for other organizations to monetize publishers who aren't in that group and whose Adsense revenue is falling."

Similar to Google AdSense, publishers can sign up for free and earn advertising revenues from placing InText advertisements on their websites and blogs. Visit the Publishers Overview to find out more information or register at the Publisher sign up page.
