Press Release - 7th February, 2007

SearchPublish 2.0 API and Microsoft Compatibility

SearchForecast, the global leader in intelligent content solutions for search engine indexation, has opened SearchPublish 2.0 to the development community through its Application Programmers Interface (API) and made it compatible with systems built using the Microsoft.NET framework.

The SearchPublish API provides an interface between externally developed systems and SearchPublish so developers can integrate and customize their websites using the SearchPublish intelligence toolset. This enables website administrators and developers to utilize the publishing capabilities of SearchPublish 2.0 regardless of the system's language and server environment. The API documentation features example code for ASP that can be incorporated into .NET systems.

SearchPublish API is also compatible with Google Sitemaps and Yahoo Site Explorer Feeds. Using the SearchPublish API, website administrators can keep major search engines up to date with their website's content.

The SearchPublish Microsoft .NET compatibility also includes a Language Translation Engine - which ensures safe and stable deployment of pages from the SearchPublish system into a client's website through the FTP/SFTP upload pipeline. SearchForecast engineers work closely with website administrators whilst configuring the Language Translation Engine. The Language Translation Engine tailors code provided through templates enabling website developers to produce search engine-friendly .NET compatible pages.

Marc Phillips, President of SearchForecast, commented that "many of our clients have websites and e-commerce solutions from Microsoft and we have built our SearchPublish technology to synchronize with their technology. We are committed to making search engine optimization an integrated feature within our publishing toolset to bridge the gap between the major search engines like Google and Yahoo! Our API now allows clients to tap into the exploding online social networks by adding features such as allowing existing users to blog without the need to change their database structure. With the popularity of the software as a service model, we have now also opened up our technology for developers to build upon, allowing customized versions to be created for specialist applications."
