Hence,  Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is important to think about and if you\u2019re not optimizing for how Google classifies and interprets search queries, you won&#8217;t maximize Google Zero Rankings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Understanding how Google or Bing classify questions is important so writing these questions and answers allows search engines to interpret their search intent. Here&#8217;s 8 question query type formats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\ufe0f\u20e3 SHORT_FACT \u2013 Direct, factual questions.<br>Example: \u201cHow many calories are in a croissant?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2\ufe0f\u20e3 OTHER \u2013 General exploratory queries.<br>Example: \u201cWhat do dermatologists think about retinol?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3\ufe0f\u20e3 COMPARISON \u2013 Evaluating two options.<br>Example: \u201cMacBook Air M2 vs. Dell XPS 13?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4\ufe0f\u20e3 CONSEQUENCE \u2013 Cause-and-effect searches.<br>Example: \u201cWhat happens if you skip breakfast every day?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5\ufe0f\u20e3 REASON \u2013 Why something happened.<br>Example: \u201cWhy did Toyota stop making the FJ Cruiser?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6\ufe0f\u20e3 DEFINITION \u2013 Meaning of a term.<br>Example: \u201cWhat is intermittent fasting?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7\ufe0f\u20e3 INSTRUCTION \u2013 How-to queries.<br>Example: \u201cHow do you clean white sneakers?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8\ufe0f\u20e3 BOOL \u2013 Yes\/no questions.<br>Example: \u201cCan I travel with an expired passport?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To rank higher, a good idea is to structure your content around direct, well-formatted answers that align with these query types.
